Dave's Stereo (3D) Photography

The photos on this page were taken by my old 3D camera rig, utilizing 2 point-and-shoot cameras.  The quality is not as good as my current rig, but it still produced some good stereo photos under the right conditions.

U.S.S. Bowfin submarine in Pearl Harbor, HI.  This stereo photo is somewhat instructive - it is easy to notice the exposure mismatch between the two images (a frequent problem I encountered on my old 3D rig).  But if you view it through a stereoscope, it still forms a rather compelling 3D image.  This shows that your brain is fairly tolerant of a fair range of exposure mismatch- it will still 'stitch' the images together to perceive a coherent visual representation of the subject with 3-dimensional depth.
